Default How do I remove the OEM Saddlebag Guard?

I am wanting to remove the OEM Saddlebag Guard off of my 2011 FLHR. But I noticed that it connects to another brace that the exhaust bolts to. Now, I see alot of baggers without the Guard so I know there has to be a way to do it. Do I have to buy something or what? Any advice or expeirenced story would be greatly appreciated.

HD Saddlebag Supports; I think it is part number: 49194-09A or 90781-09A. It supports the bags after the saddle bag guard is removed. They are for a Street Glide; the dealer may tell you it doesn't fit a Road King but it will; I put them on my RKC.

both of those parts come off and are replaced with the street glide style bag supports.

Harley design things if you want to take something off you have to buy something else to replace it, that's called marketing strategy my friend.
