Royal Purple in Tranny?

I ran RP 85w140 MaxGear for a while before switching to Redline SPH, but that was only because the latter was $4 cheaper per quart. Like Pumba11, I can't tell the difference and would recommend either as top-tier lubricants, the choice going to whichever is cheaper and more readily available.

Wanted to let you guys know that I contacted Royal Purple via email and the tech department said that the RP Max Gear 75W-140 is a good choice from their products to use in our bike's trannys. Of course you can also use the RP Max Cycle 20W-50 synthetic motor oil in all 3 three holes as HD says you can with any 20W-50 synthetic motor oil.

I've used RP synthetic, Valvoline dino and NAPA dino gear oils in my transmission. Various viscosities. They all work well for me. Whenever I drain the oil they all look like they haven't been used. Haven't seen or felt any difference except in my wallet.
I guess I don't seem to care what it is, as long as it's gear oil.
