Default Cracking the primary cover soon, what should get done?

2004 FLHRSI, 98" build, cams, updated cam plates, rinehart true duals, 27k miles

I'm looking to replace the clutch in the next few months, and while in in the primary cover, what else should I look to replace? Which clutch should I use?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

27k is still sort of low . At 60k I took the clutch plates out(oem) and did the check list in the manuel and they were fine.I did do a bunch of other stuff ,alot just cause pm and had 60k.

Just the primary cover, or the inner primary too?

In my case I replaced the compensator with a Baker, had to replace the bearings/race because they were shot....which caused the clutch basket to wobble and score the inside of the innner primary.....which was caused by a Harley auto chain tensioner ratcheting up too tight. My probable mistake was to replace the tensioner with another Harley auto tensioner. Since then I have learned to replace with a non-auto-tensioner. Have a Hayden unit on the shelf to install next time I need to change primary oil......so far the new Harley tensioner appears to be doing okay, but it will cause trouble eventually by getting too tight.....which then screws up your bearings. So, new gaskets, new oil seals, new bearings, new tensioner, all new heavy duty clutch plates and spring, Barnett brand, new Baker compensator. Have been very happy with being able to find neutral easily, no more slams and bangs from primary.......machine flies and is quiet....your situation must be better but I had to do all of the above about 10K-15K ago to straighten out my mess......about 50K now.

from what ive seen and heard I wish my primary was built in 2004

only thing ive seen in those years close to a concern was compensator bolt getting loose. unless you bumped the power up significantly.
