Default Compression Release

The 10 Street Glides have Automatic Compression Release. If I was to have my heads re-worked by Tman he offers manual compression releases. 1. Do I need the manual compression release. 2. How does that effect my automatic compression release.....

Not all 2010 Street Glides have automatic compression releases, only some of the SE and CVO models do. My 2010 96 inch engine did not have releases stock but I did have the manual compression releases installed when the stage II 103 work was done. I prefer the idea of the manual compression releases to the automatics. Reason being the manual ones can be serviced / replaced easily while the automatics require the upper and lower rocker boxes be removed.

I have an S&S motor with automatic releases. They're out of sight, out of mind and work, well, you know - automatically. Don't ask me how! That's on a 21 year old Evo with the original stock starter. Can't be bad!
