that's impressive Eric in the windy city. Do you anticipate any issues using the belt drive with the increased TQ/HP?

Very possible, but for the few 120 crates that are running around, no one has snapped a belt, yet. I think it will be fine, just got to control the launches/wheelies
Others running Jim's 131, Big Bore 117's/124's are running stock belts without a issue. Time will tell but I think it will be good with the stocker.

Did they give you a lead time? I am looking hard at this. Do you plan on any upgrades or straight from the crate? Thanks

I'm following this thread closely, why go 103 or 107 if I can get a new 120 engine for close to the same price?

She rocks, when the rest of the country was quoting 60 day lead time, we got ours in 10 days. your going to love it.
And for the poster that asked about the 103/107. I was in the same boat, why spend the same amount of money on a 107 (built very well with crank work, head work etc) when for a few bucks more you can have a factory 120 crate.

SPORacer, make sure you get a good 2-1 exh to let that sucker breath and a good clutch. I went with a Rivera Primo Pro with the gold spring (silver spring will not hold the power) and a VPC from AIM. Lots of guy worked up to this combo after trial and error on other products. If you have a death grip of a handshake with your left hand, the SE clutch will also work but is not really street friendly due to pull needed to engage. Good luck with your motor, welcome to the 120R club!

If anyone wants more info on these motors (a inside look and the story of our build) check out this thread for a lot of good info.

with all the $$$$ I put into my 117" build I would have definitely been better off going with the 120. If I were to do it again that is the way I would have gone. My 117" was somewhere in the $7k range for the motor work(not including the clutch because I would have had to deal with that regardless).

I have the primo pro clutch with the varible pressure plate. Do you think that will hold it or do i still need a heavier spring?
I just checked and the clutch has a black spring so i guess that will have to be upgraded too.

i have a d&d fatcat with a wraped performance baffle but i was thinking of selling it and going with a borzilla. Its 1 3/4 versis 1 7/8 primary pipe size.
