Default Anyone using the new Mustang lowdown Touring seat?

I thought the new Mustang Lowdown Touring seat might be just what I was looking for but now I'm not sure. They advertise it is 1 1/2 inches lower than stock on 2009 and newer Electra Glides. I questioned weather their seat was lower than the new low stock seat that came on the later production 2010 Electra Glides.Their response was no, so it seems their advertisement was meant for the early production stock seats.I am still interested in the new Lowdown Touring seat with the built in adjustable riders backrest.I would really like to find someone who is using this seat to give a comparison to the stock seat.I have owned Mustang seats before and have always been satisfied.

I think that it is about 1/2 lower than the '11 seats....based on the seat height given on the HD site

I am going to be purchasing one of the seats very soon as they are starting to show up at the vendors websites now and Ebay.

Love the Mustang setup on my VTX, would expect nothing less on the RK.

Default Tried it at bike week

A buddy of mine put one on his 11 roadglide at bike week.
It raised him from almost flat footed to on the ***** of his feet.
Probably raised him up over an inch.
We found out then that his stock seat says low on the bottom of it.
The mustang rep says that it is 1 1/2 inches lower than the "normal" stock seat.

The regular 2010 RK seat is listed at 27.30 inches laden......the 2011 RK seat is listed at 26.5 inches laden...

Now I know math was never my best subject but looking at those numbers it looks like the 2011 seat is less than an inch lower than the 2010 and if the Lowdown Mustang seat lowers a 2010 seat rider by 1 1/2 inches......it seems that the 2011 rider should at least be a 1/2 lower???

I can see why your buddy was raised a bit...was he definitely on one of the new Mustang Lowdown seats?

Sort of confusing... I contacted the Mustang rep and they said it would definitely lower me the 1.5" on the 2010 Limited. Maybe he tried one the was a "normal" seat, just throwing that out there... Anyway I'm ordering the Lowdown today. I'll let everyone know the outcome...

I dont want to tell how many mustang seats I've bought for all the metric I've owned but I will tell you it is one of the nicest seats I have ever owned. 600 + easy in one day with back rest, ***** to some but I am out of the US most of the year and when I was home on other sstock seats i wasgetting about 350 400. At the end of the day i was not feeling good. Mustang is doing something right. Sorry I did not answer your question.

No, I had the Normal high seat (earlier 2010 model); therefore it dropped me down the 1.5" once I installed the Lowdown.

If you already have a stock low seat then you may only gain a .75" drop. Nonetheless, so far I'm enjoying the seat
