Default Boom Audio causes $400 damage

Ouch! While I really like my Boom speakers on my RK, the amp caused major fender damage to my bike. The instructions have you installing the amp on the front of the frame under the neck.

The problem: When you brake hard and the bike dips forward, the fender and the amp comes into contact and puts a nice big dent in the fender. With normal braking, it's not a problem, but I had to brake hard at 40 mph to a full stop with a majority of front brake applied and bang... I just heard $400.00 fall out of my wallet. Find another place to install the amp.

wow- I've seen more than a few touring bikes smack the fender on the triple tree ( incl. 1 of mine)--- didn't know they made any accessory that would make that even more likely.

sucks

Here's the insult to injury... I called a dent puller, who did a good job on the fender, but he chipped my gas tank with the dent puller... right down to the metal 3xs'. Another $500.00. He said he would fix it, but his idea of fixing it and mine differ.
