They're talking about the chrome covers that are on the left and right side of my license plate. They're magnetic and cover the ugly mounting hardware for tourpacks and luggage racks. I hope this helps

I have an 11 SG and the book says two large and two small but I bought 4 large by mistake but they seem to be right for the 4 point mounting system, the short ones don't seem to be long enough to cover the black grommet....

They are only $25 at the dealer. The pack is easy to open (and close) and they let me try each. My 2010 RG took the large size.

All four of mine are the same. Little less that 1" in diameter and about 1" deep.

Ther is a chart in the P&A catalog that will tell you what size(s) you need.

The catalog has conflicting information, and I didn't trust it calling out 2 different sizes. I have 4 of the same size on mine and they fit as I'd expect. I think the up to 08 bikes take the staggered sizes, while the 09-up bikes use the same size (large) for all 4.
