Default Two tone Chopped Tour-Pak with pinstripe - pictures?

I'm probably going to be purchasing a chopped tour-pak pretty soon, but I want to know exactly what I'm getting before I drop $1200+ on the setup.

I'm specifically looking for pictures of chopped tour-paks with two color paint jobs with a single color pinstripe, like the paint scheme listed in my sig. The examples listed in the parts catalog are of no help.

What I'm trying to figure out is the ratio of merlot to red, what parts of the tour-pak will be painted which color, and where the gold pinstriping will be.

Thanks...

Dont have pics for you, but I see a Merlot TP with Red on the lid's top center indention outlined with the Gold pinstripe. Match the Red from the saddlebag to the bottom-side of the tourpak (keep it below the lid/bottom seam)... Gold pinstripe per the saddlebag design.

Here are a few examples of two-tone. Obviously, the Merlot would be the dominant color, Red the secondary color... with Gold pinstripe divider.

If you check out the Ultra Limited in your colors on the 2010 and 2011 HD website, the king tour pac has minimal seconday color. It is only about an inch around the bottom of the Tour Pac.But the chopped model may be different.BTW,your bike looks great.

Can't answer your question or post a picture; but, I've never seen a chopped tour pak with anything but a solid color bottom (the second color is in the lid's panel, as is the pinstripe) except for the 2011 CVO Street Glide chopped tour paks. In the absence of someone posting a picture of a merlot/red chopped tour pak, give HD customer service a call and see what you can find out.

You may find that you will be giving the painter who did your saddlebag extensions more work if you want a chopped tour pak bottom to be two-tone with a pinstripe to complement your bags.

Good luck with your project.

Carl

PS: Unless you have some reason to buy at list price, Zanotti's and other 20% off list price dealers offer you a substantial cost savings on the tour pak, backrest, detachable rack, etc.

Reviving this to see if anyone new might have a pic. I never went through with the purchase but am considering again now that they have a backrest pad that matches the seat I use. Thanks for the help!
