Anyone know how to remove the black tab that says lock,ignition etc...thats directly underneath the chrome switch?? any help...thanks

 

I believe it's just a flat plastic plate with tabs that fit into some slots. I believed I just used a flat blade screwdriver.

 

When I put on my Santee's recently I was farting around with it and it popped off without any tools. Guess I just got lucky, but r8rs4lf is right you just need to be easy with it.
