Default Oil synthetic or regular

I am a fairly new HOG Owner and looking to gather some opinions on regular or synthetic oil. Can you share you thoughts? The dealer of course says synthetic but is it just money?

Grab a bucket of popcorn and duck behind the couch, cause you could
be overwhelmed with a ton of replies on oil preference !!!!

Don't say you haven't been warned !!!!!!!!!!

my $.02 is that these air cooled bikes can run REALLY REALLY HOT and I want the maximum protection for mine so I run synthetic. I'm not really a brand snob about it but I do make sure it's synthetic.

Hey T, do the search node search.....it will lead to past threads on your question and just about answer it......I do use Amsoil synthetic in my sled....20-50w for the primary/motor, and severe gear 90-110w in the trans, Does very well in shifting and have no problems at all. Do the search and/or visit there web site...Other choices that friends have used, Mobil 1 Syn, Royal Purple, Castrol and of course Screaming beagle. Good Luck, D
