2011 SG: Remove Cat & Keep Stock Head Pipe, or Get Fullsac/Fuel Moto Head Pipe?
Just picked up a 2011 Street Glide and want to get rid of the cat before I do Stage I, Rinehart slip-ons, and a tune.
Not looking for any additional performance gains over what I described above, and I prefer the exhaust not to be any louder than it is with just the Rineharts.
Having said, that should I just remove the cat and keep the stock HD head pipe, or go for an aftermarket head pipe (Fullsac/Fuel Moto, etc.)?
Thanks

I too have a 2011 SG & thought I would keep the stock head pipes & buy some V&H power duals with V&H slip ons.Getting rid of the cat & keeping the stock pipes will save you some money though.Thought about that myself but don't have access to a mig/tig welder.Keeping the stock head pipes in case John Law decides to do the emmission testing here.

Personally, I would get an aftermarket headpipe. The quality of both pipes you mentioned is amazing, and when the "performance bug" kicks in (prolonged exposure to this website almost guarantee it will) you'll be happy you already had the pipe. I kept my CAT header JUST IN CASE if pollution laws ever get enforced in my area.
