Default Help '11 FLHTK owners - Dealer has me confused

After a month I thought I was finally ready to pick up my new FLHTk. Dealer tells me everything is done except the installation of my Fuel Moto ceramic coated header pipe. According to them their is a new gasket for 11 103 engines and not only don't they have one they say none of the dealers around have them either. I will call around tomorrow to see if that is accurate.

Does anyone know what they are talking about? Does anyone have an 11 Parts catalog they could scan so I have the actual parts list.

If it's brand new, why do they need to change the gaskets?

Good question. I did not ask. i have never changed head pipes before but have changed slip ons many times. I always use new exhaust clamps. I assumed this might be a similar situation. I am more baffled by the gasket being new for 11 and unique to the 103. That is news to me and I cannot find any reference to it anywhere. thought someone else might have some info

So does the 103 use a gasket or not?

Yes, it uses a gasket. Even the instructions from fuel Moto say this. However, the existing gaskets should work just fine. The dealer is giving you a line of BS.

Thanks for the info and parts list. I assumed it used a gasket. I found it hard to believe that this gasket was a) unique to 103K engine and b) impossible to find.
