I hate when S__T like that happens. I to had a problem with the rubber mounts for the mufflers. but it was just on one side. Good Luck.

If you spray a little lube on the rubber bushings of the muffler mounts and it doesn't chirp then you found the cause. Sometimes just loosening the bolts that hold the lower saddlebag supports and retightening will fix it. Or you could try switching the bushings from side to side. Or you could replace them - I think they are only a few bucks.

Definitely not a beer can ..... beer cans don't chirp ..... trust me on this one .... beer cans clunk when full ...... clank when empty ..... I have spent many many hours researching this and have concluded that I will have to spend a great deal more time before I can be considered an expert .... but .... I'm trying .... I'm really trying.

I'll be damned if it wasn't a beer can but an empty bottle of Jack Daniels. Just kidding.

I had a weird chirp when I decelerated.....It ended up being a loose bolt on the frame....I ended up starting from the front end and worked my way back torquing everything to spec.....after I found the loose bolt and tightened it, the chirp was gone.....here's a picture of the loose one (it's at the bottom next to the hole where the side cover goes in):

I have to concur with Larry on this. Many times, I have blamed the full or empty beer cans on my bike problems but in this particular case, I believe that the original poster will have to look elsewhere.
