Rode over to Cabela's ( Sidney, NE) was going to purchase a Garmin GPS , but after consideration my phone can do the same thing so no purchase today. Round trip was 290 miles. A great day for a ride started in low 60's and was about 74 or so when I returned home.

Installed my last, planned mod. The Combination Analog Speedometer/Tachometer, # 70900070A. Install was a snap and it should be a fun addition.

For me it's more like what did I undo to my bagger today....
Saturday I decided I needed new tires. Sounds easy. Well it ain't. Picked up some Metzeler 880's, front & rear, but decide to go to 200mm on the rear with the 16' rim. After realizing they gave me the wrong size front tire (gimme the "DiNozzo" head slap for not checking before I left) and going back to get the correct 18" font tire, everything went together without a hitch. 200mm fits fine, no mods at all, plenty of room.

Left the indy and didn't get to 40mph before things started to feel a bit "squirrely". Didn't feel right and especially, didn't feel safe. Got it back to the indy yesterday and they found just about everything loose up front that could be loose. (On a 2012 that just had it's 10K service at the dealer 2 months ago) I don't know all the parts up there, but head bolt and fork bushings were words that got thrown out there. Anyway, left it there to get tightened up but when I called they told me that things were still "not right". Seems the 200mm Metzelers have a single ply sidewall and while rated at 79 it just doesn't take the weight. Wiggle your *** a bit at 60mph and the whole bike feels like a weeble-wobble doll.

Left it at the shop. Their gonna put a Dunlop American Elite on tomorrow and I'll see if that fixes everything. AND, I'm going back to the stock size 180mm.

Guess I'll post a lightly used 200mm Metzeler on Craigslist tomorrow.
