Did the saddlebag security mod to keep them from falling off the bike. Put U-nuts on the frame and ran stainless button-head bolts through to hold 'em in place. I was thinking that the bolts could eventually work their way out from vibration (vibration on a Harley? Say it isn't so!) therefore I drilled a small hole through the end of each bolt and put a small hair pin style clip in it. If they do become loose at least they won't fall off.

Great idea. I've thought about safety wiring the QDs to eliminate my paranoia about a bag dropping off at highway speeds. I've been behind a friend who's hard saddle bag had one come undone on the highway. I was able to get him stopped before it ejected itself.

I've had one come off on a Yamaha Venture Royale (I was young, so cut me some slack) and really f'ed it up. I lived with the scars until I sold her, but I always check each bag before, during and after a ride now.

Probably going to do the same, purchase the custom dynamics ringz for the front of the bike, and considering a chrome inner primary cover or the truck lite phase 7 led. Currently running a ddm HID set up, no complaints so far.

Did k&n front facing intake, HCC 18 in. Ape hangers, motion pro clutch, brake, throttle lines & cables, grips & new brake fluid & wax. I love my bike now. Couldn't be happier with the finished product.
