How do you like grips? I've got the Get A Grip in black and thinking about changing to these.

Default installed and tested WardsPartsWerks F.C.S Cooling Fans

Install was easy and I like the standard black version a lot.

Road 300 miles yesterday in 78 degree temps and using a IR thermometer I sampled my rear fin temps on my 09 Ultra and also those of my friend's 09 Ultra and another's 2015 CVO Ultra wet head.
Results of about a half dozen temperature samples:
My fin temp was 50 degrees cooler than prior and 50 degrees cooler than the other 09 Ultra. My temp fin temp was about 225 and used to be about 285; difference between my 09 and friend's was about 50 degrees; the stock 2015 CVO with a whopping 380 miles on it came in at about 205 degrees.

I can definitely feel the reduction in heat. Very good investment IMO.

Default New Ohlin rear shock getting fixed

got confirmation from OhlinUSA of receipt of my new rear shock for service.
After 700 miles some of the threads came apart and the collar wouldn't go any further. I didn't think I should have to pay the dealer to fix this so I called OhlinUSA and within minutes was talking to a decision maker who told me how to send it to their shop for free repair.

We discussed how this could have happened and the only cause he came up with was maybe some dirt got in the threads. Threads looked clean to me, but he said that before adjusting the shock collar hit the threads with a blast of air to make sure nothing is down in the collar.

Added 2 lbs of air to each tire, its gotten cooler.

I would be interested to see how well the deflectors work. I've been thinking about trying them myself.

X2. I would like them for wind deflection but just not sure about the looks.
