I have a 2007 FLHTP with Fuel Moto stage 1 air and D&D Fat Cats quiet baffle and Power Commander lll with FM designed map for my configuration. I am pinging during acceleration especially while under load from approx 2000-3000+ rpm and about 20-40% throttle position. Question is "can I adjust Power Commander to remove the ping? What would be the estimated adjustment perameters? I don't have a dyno in the area I trust who works with power commanders. Thanks for the advice...oh ya, I haven't asked Jamie at FM about this yet.

 

Go into your Power Commander map ignition tables and put -2 in the areas you are having problems. I had to on my 07 as well, if I remember correctly I had -2 from 1700 RPM from 20% and up across the table. Just be sure and do both cylinders. My pinging issues were gone, and they were severe.
