I don't put it on there on purpose, but I don't avoid it either.
No issues.
I've used the Honda spray polish on it as well.

For dried bugs, Bugs-B-Gone is tops. It has enzymes that soften bug guts almost instantly, and wash off.

I spray Pledge all over the bike except the tires. No issues.

Agree. Works as good a Plexus at about 1/4 the cost.

I have a friend that uses pledge on everything, such as paint, seats, and windshield. His bike has not rotted away.

I use hydrogen peroxide mixed half and half with distilled water and spray on the windshield to dissolve the bugs. I like to watch the bug juice boil and then I wipe them off. Afterwards I polish the windshield with Honda spray polish. Been doing this for years.

I used to carry a can with me when I wore a full face to clean the helmet shield. It works great. I do the whole bike with it sometimes too. Good stuff but if you use lemon watch out for the bees in the summer.

I use Plexus on my windshield, not furniture polish.

I haven't had any problems using it on the windshield. Makes it easier to get the bugs off.

Only problem I had with it was when I went by a farmer plowing his field my bike and windshield were covered with dust. Stuck right to it.
