Does a 1999 Road King show codes? Why isn't 1999 listed? How would we get codes from a 1999?

My buddy's 1999 Road King (MM EFI) would show codes by the Check Engine light coming back on after start up just like the later bikes, yeah?

Goes back on & stays on for a current code - goes on again then back off for a historic code?

My 98 RKC shows the codes. It's all in the manual. Should be the same for a 1999. I believe they both use the same MMI FI system.
