Default J&M amp blowing fuses!

Every time I turn my ignition on it blows the fuse in the power cable and I can't figure out why????, I've tried a few different grounds and triple checked all my connections any ideas guys?

You didn't say how long you have had the system installed. Check for chafing, pinched wiring in the system for starters.

Okay here is one thing that you might want to look at.If it only blows when you start it the I would look at the power source and change it. It is more then likely tied to the main starter lead. You might want to tie it in at the fuse block or in the block for the radio.

It's brand new I'm hooking it up for the first time, there isn't any pinched wires nor do they looked chafed. I have no idea what would cause it to blow a fuse everytime I turn it on. I'm gonna call j&m later today.

I thought about that too, just wouldn't think j&m wouldve stuck the wrong one in there, it's a 20amp fuse by the way!

You may have been right the first time. It could be your ground. My amp was very sensitive to ground. Do a search. There are a few good articles on grounding the system during install.

No.....The threads should be clear of paint and the bottom of the (head of screw), that is all you need. If you take paint off your frame, it will rust.
