Gents,
At the shop the other day, I saw a CVO Ultra Classic that had a latching mechanism for the trunk that automatically latched when the lid was closed - to open you pushed a keyed-button and it would pop open. Reminded me of the latching mechanism that you'd find on the trunk of a car.

I really like this setup and I'm wondering if it's possible, or if anybody out there has performed a mod on their standard latches over to a CVO style latch system, or if you'd have to swap out the entire trunk for a CVO style trunk - and even then, would that work with the hardware on the 2011 FLTRU.

They don't pop open when you activate the key fob. They latch and unlatch just like any other Harley bag. The key fob activates the locks on the bags, trunk and fork lock.

 

Would be a nice addition. I can't tell from the diagrams where all the components go.
