Default Harley Drivers backrest?????

I think I'm ditching the Corbin Dual Tour due to the fact I cant get comfortable on it. I do really like having the drivers backrest though. I will probably go back to my stock seat and add a drivers back rest.

There are 2 available. My questions.
1.Is the adjustable one worth the extra money?

2.Is anyone out there not happy with one or the other?

3. Do the limit passenger room like the Corbin one does?

Thanks

The short answer is that it depends on how tall you are.
I have the "fixed" version and am very happy with it. I am 6-0.
That said, after a few trips, I felt that the backrest would be more confortable with a little more recline-angle (1/2") to it, so I put it in a vice, heated it with a torch, bent it back a little - perfect.
The backrest now has plenty of adjustment to suit me

They do take up alittle room also. Yes the adjustable one is money well spent. Had one on my "Heritage." Easy to adjust while riding also. I have the fixed mount on the Ultra, it seems to have a "Push you forward" feel, so I cut the mount and bent it back, to a angle and feel that I liked. Had the base welded backed up and go to go. I also did this to my 07 Ultra also. Hope this helps you out.

Love my Mustang with backrest. Hours of all day comfort. After all I have read about C&C, Corbin's and the like I can't help but feel people are just happy with the brand but I have not tried them nor am I about to. I have ridden in excess of 700 miles in a day and zero discomfort. JMO my 2 cents.

Depends on how big your passenger is.

I have had both and like the adjustable one because on longer trips I like to adjust it to how I am feeling that day or moment. The adjustable one does go back into the passenger but I stop when I get the "whack" on the back of the head. That was an additional feature I purchased.

I had the adjustable one with the cable but that raw bar that sticks up was just so freaking ugly I took it off and sold it. If I get one ever it would be the fixed mount.

There is a raw bar that sticks up?

Here is the pic from the HD Parts catalog, is this pic not what it looks like installed?

Anyone have a pic of theirs?

I like the seats with the builtin backrest. Mustang, Danny Gray, for example.
This is the Danny Gray that I'm selling. Not as fat as the HD, so more room for passenger.

i love my adjustable version for my '09 Ultra. Since I can move it I do often on long trips. Well worth the extra dough.
