Seat and color advice buying a Road King

I have an 06 RKC and have put the Harley Sundowner Seat (with the matching RKC basketweave trim) on my scoot and it is very comfortable for both me and my wife. I also put the RKC style tour pak on as well and she is much more comfortable with the backrest on it vs the sissy bar rest.

I'd get them to re-paint it the 100th anniversary paint scheme. It's pretty cool and authentic to that bike. Probably not a lot of them over there.
Avoid trendy paint schemes - it'll look dated in a few years...
There's a thread in this forum called 'the ultimate tall rider thread' so you can hear about seats from other big guys.

I am significantly shorter than you at 6'2" but much of my height is in my legs. I also had a Sportster 1200 Custom before the Road King. My Sporty had forward controls, so stretching out wasn't a problem.
On the Road King I have a Tall Boy seat which, on my year model, moves me back 2 inches. (On older models, I also moved you up.) That made the RK comfortable for me. One word of warning, however--the 2 inches it gives you it takes away from your passenger (since the seat attachment point on the fender doesn't change). For my wife that isn't an issue since she is petite. But you may want to consider that. As far as comfort is concerned, it is basically the same as a Sundowner. It is very comfortable. I have about 50,000 miles on mine and ride lots of long days in comfort.
