Well let's see what turns it off usually.... Clutch Switch, Front Brake Switch, Rear Brake Switch, Roll the Throttle Forward or the Dash Switch. Those are the places I would start I guess. Not trying to be an A$$ just trying to give starting points.

I have a cruse problem also, but I know
mine is from the front brake switch.
Tonight when it is good dark start your
bike and squeze your front brake and see
if your brake light stays on after you let go

I had an 'o4 with a front brake switch would activate on it's own.
I never did replace the switch, just learned to sometimes push
the brake lever forward with a finger every once in awhile.

I had a cruise issue when heading directly into a stiff wind, cruising about 55-60 MPH, in fifth gear (05 RK/TC88). That is, the cruise would kick off when the wind gusted. The cruise would be working fine...then the wind would gust up--and the cruise would suddenly kick off. Fourth gear was ok. The only time I had this problem was in a really strong headwind. I figured the cruise disengaged because the bike was lugging. I had some engine work done (cams, etc.) and the problem went away. buckmc, are you pulling a hill, or heading into a strong wind when your cruise kicks off?

Alan
