Default iSimple iPod/iPhone adapter

Has anyone had any experience with the iSimple iPod/iPhone adapter? It looks like an easy way to power the device without using the cig lighter port, or doing any of my own splice work.

You can check it out here: http://www.ironacesspeedshop.com/pro...rdwire-kit.cfm

Thanks,
mikebaby

I'm very happy with the iSimple IS75 providing power and audio connection for my iPhone 4.

IIRC, I paid $25 for the adapter. It appears the vendor has added a ~$7 Deutsch connector to the adapter to permit connection to the switched power cirucit in the accessory connector under the seat. If paying $35 plus routing a couple of wires under the gas tank to access the accessory connector is preferable to connecting power and ground wires inside the fairing (to the unused spade connectors on the headlight harness, or the power and ground at the cigarette lighter) without running wires under the gas tank, go for it.

Previously, Iron Cross Audio added the aux connector to the back of the HK radio, so the 3.5mm audio connector included with the iSimple cable is connected there. Makes for a nice, clean installation.

I had an iSimple setup in an '07 Caddy, it worked great. They all have some little quirks, it seems, but I liked it. I actually contacted PAC when I first got my bike to see if they were making anything I could use.

Thumbs up

The Isimple looks like a nice setup and price. I use one of these http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Techno...5092661&sr=8-1
The griffin blue trip syncs automatically and I can actually take calls through it although they can barely hear you unless your stopped. But my favorite thing is that you don't have to unplug/plug in every time you get on and off. It supports iphone voice commands so you can press the button and say play, pause, next song, play song by, call work, ect. My girlfriend can hold the phone and play the songs she wants also, which isn't exactly a good thing lol.
