Default Riding and allergies.

What do the rest of you do that suffer from allergies. Went for a ride yesterday and was totally taken over by sneezing, itchy, watery eyes Etc. It actually wasn't safe to ride because of the sneezing and eye troubles. None of the over-the-counter meds seem to help much. Always end up going to the doc for a Kenalog shot but would like to hear what works for others.

Tag for info...not for me, but for the OL. She went for her first ride with me today, and is laying on the couch all messed up. She took some over the counter stuff, and some eye drops, and she's out. Poor woman was miserable.

I've heard the honey thing works but it has to be pure and raw honey. I use the cheap over the counter claritin from walmart for the daytime and a cheap over the counter zyrtec at night. If I take too much it will give me muscle cramps sometimes. I've also heard the nedi pots work well for flushing your sinuses.

Neti Pot works for me. Every day twice a day. Morning and night.

I take "FLONASE" RX. I also wear a bandana to cover my nose & mouth. When it's hot outside I'll wet it down first. I also use eye drops. I've heard about eating local honey also.
