On a 2010 road glide to check the transmission oil level do u check it hot or cold. I checked it cold on the jiffy stand and the level is down.

I always warm up the engine by riding the bike around the block shifting through the gears. I check the fluid while the bike is level, Insert the dipstick just until the threads hit and pulling it out.

Hi,
I just changed my three fluids and measured them accurately before pouring. The primary fluid you can't measure but my two other oil levels were right on the line at room temperature.
Took the bike out for a two hour ride and when warm (but not hot) the gearbox and engine oil levels were spot on.
