Sounds like .pdf owner manuals coming to HD website
At least that is the way I read this
H-D.com/Owners
The goal of the Owners Section of h-d.com is to deliver rider-centric content and provide Owners with tools and ideas on how to get more out of owning their current and next Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. In response to customer requests and to engage customers with H-D dealerships post-sale, the newly redesigned Owners section of h-d.com now provides:
Online access to owner's manuals (for bikes 2005 and newer models only)
Complete maintenance schedules (for bikes 2005 and newer models only)
Recall (open and closed) and product program information
The Owners Section also features H-D Authorized Service, Finance and Insurance, H.O.G. membership benefits, H-D1 Customization and tools and tips for planning a ride.

Yes, service manuals would be taking money from the dealers. Owner manuals are pretty non essential for the most part, except for the minor stuff. I do however think it is a step in the right direction for HD. They started going the "right direction" when they began posting up instruction sheets, etc.
