anyone do regular oil analysis samples?
Anyone have oil analysis practices? Any lessons learned on oil weight (low weight for good startup flow vs heavy weight for shear strength) , type (auto oil is good vs only use motorcycle oil) , and brands ( shoprite recycled oil is bad vs amsoil had the best analysis results) as a result?

I send a sample to Caterpillar (yeah, the big yellow tractor people) every 10k on all my vehicles. It doesn't cost much.
I do it to monitor wear on the engine. I don't swap oils or use the results to determine oil change frequency.
