Really the tuner is the key thing so you should be good.

Up until recently I didn't realize they had a 50 State compliant 2 into 1 so now this has my wheels truning because I'd like to go that way but (for better or worse) my warranty is important to me.

This was my line of thinking too. I know the tuner is an absolute because it flags the vin in Digital Tech. But I had also been told they will manually void if it's out of EPA standards, which removing the Cat certainly does.

I was told that H-D does not yet have the maps for their tuner for the 2021+ models…
I was planning to put an S&S Pro Pipe on my new Low Rider ST when it comes in, and use the HD Screaming Eagle tuner to keep the warranty - but the HD Service people told me that that’s not possible yet, as there are no maps yet for the 2021+ models…
They also told me you can’t put a non CARB compliant part on a California bike, even with an HD Tuner, as the California bikes will not allow a non CARB tune. Sounded fishy to me but who knows.

What year is your bike?

Below is from the H-D website about their tuner
“For use with ’17-later XG, ’14-later XL and ’07-’17 Dyna®, and ’07-later Softail and Touring and ’17-later Trike models. Requires separate purchase of model-specific Tuner Cable. Does not fit California ’21-later models. Refer to H-D.com/shop for status.”
Notice the “Does not fit California ‘21-later models”. So even with CARB compliant exhaust, it says it wont work.
