Default 2004 ROAD KING Upgrades- Almost done!!

I didn’t realize how hard it was to hide all this stuff from my wife, damn!!

2004 Road King- I changed out the fuel pump, filter, pressure regulator & housing, check valve, Andrews TW-21 cams, bearings, tensioners, gaskets in rocker box, S&S Power Tune, S&S teardrop air cleaner and Hogworkz LED brake lights/rear turn signals w/ magic strobe.

Waiting for my slightly used Cobra fi 2000 PowrPro Black to show up tomorrow and we’re firing this baby up!!

Several afternoons and nights. But there’s few things more rewarding than working on your own bike.

You don't need to hide that stuff from her. Those are maintenance items that needed to be replaced. You're welcome.

lol- Oh, OK.

Silly me. I accidentally showed her how my rear cylinder split exhaust WASN’T cracked, but I got exhaust anyhow. Tell me what do I say now? It cracked when I took it off?? Haha.

I started this project with only intending on changing the tensioners and rocker gaskets (because I reused the stock pushrods). The deeper I got, I started thinking- Well, I’m here now, might as well add new cams. Well, ****, that S&S teardrop air cleaner would look awfully nice on this bike. Why am I doing all this work and not putting new headers on??

it just snow-balled out of control and now I’m scared fellas! Lmao

Youre doing it wrong - I share all of it with her and she is supportive! She says “If it makes you happy, theres less of a chance you’ll beat me!” LOL

I tried “sharing”. It only ends with her hollering at me. It’s just easier to hide it, I suppose

Is your bike running yet? Got mine finished Monday night, took it for a quick spin last night and rode in to work this morning. Running great so far. Now I can pass people on the way to work, haha.
