Anybody with an 08 RG try installing these? It looks like they should work with little to no mods. Not sure why they would not?

The tank mounting tabs are a little different..... but you can put them on. I had them on my 05.

I got lazy and just put the clip part on the outside of the tank mounting tab. But it worked.

 

I've got an '09 RG. I took 'em off of mine and we wound up trying them on my Buddy's '07 RG just the other day. They were not a direct fit on his '07, the tank mounts are a little too narrow for them to snap on. They could be modified slightly to work very easily, though. Just a bit of trimming of the baffles and they'd snap right on. I had them on mine along with the Hogg Chopp lowers and the air baffle underneath the triple tree removed and the combination was just too darned hot. They blocked the air from going across my cylinder heads and it (meaning I) was running a littlle too warm. They do work as advertised, just not with my setup.
