Default $100 Rear Lowering Kit

I picked one of these kits up from a friend a few months ago & am hoping I can get someone with it installed could take a couple of pics with their bags off. When I had it installed it seems like it was up against the shock or something & it just didn't seem right. Thanks guys!

What lowering kit was it that you bought and what bike are you putting it on? You can get top notch kits for around $50 that do not interfer with the bags.

It has some pics installed. Should have cost about $50, unless you have a different kind... Good luck.

Got them installed & nothing is rubbing....IDK what happened last time but they installed fine. Stayed on the 1st hole & not the lowest hole so it dropped the bike about an inch. I can now easily flat foot my bike which is gonna be way better when I have the o\l on the back.....

I just installed the same kit from the sound of it on my 2008 ultra
classic. It lowered the rear nicely 1 inch and my feet are flat on the pavement. But now I'm getting a slamming noise as if the bike is bottoming out over just the slightest bumps. I have not taken a passenger yet. I fear it will be worse! The shocks are set for a 250 lb rider. Any thoughts??

I put that lowering kit on my 2011 limited and road it around the block and took it back off. didnt even put 2 miles on it. it felt strange having the shocks in the wrong geometry and i was getting that same bottoming out noise. i figured i would lower it the correct way with 1 inch shorter shocks

I use both the $100 1" block kit AND the 1" shorter rear shocks on my Road King.

Works good.

Odd that some have problems with the blocks and some don't. I put the blocks on my 11 RK at the 1" drop and with 600 miles on them, no problems at all. I'm keeping a close eye on them just in case.
