Default spectro 6 speed tranny fluid

so I went to a local Indy shop today who is a dealer in the Spectro line of oils. I said I wanted to try the spectro 6 speed formula. He sold me one quart of the fluid and said that is all I need, and It is sold so you only need 1 bottle, He said thats all he uses when he does fluid swaps at the shop. Now I thought all the 6 speeds needed 38oz, which is 1.3 quarts??? do I need to buy a second bottle? is the Indy wrong? He does alot of bikes....

This is one of the reasons I wish we would go to the metric system in this country you need only .95 quarts. You sound like your confusing the trans with the primary. When you change the trans fluid dont just dump the whole quart in there use the dip stick to check, that fluid is great btw I have been using this for awhile now.

Hmmmm, you never said what kind of bike your have..
Assuming that you have a new-er touring bike as this thread is in the touring section. The primary does require 38 oz.
The transmission requires 32 oz.

I like spectro. HD 75/140 Platnium 6 speed.

The only thing that I didn't like about my Road King was the way it shifted, until I changed to Spectro. It is a great product.
