If you have a voltmeter, one side should be 12v DC, other to ground. Maybe you switched the two?

Did you have the ignition switch turned on?
That circuit has no power unless the ignition switch is on.

When I hooked in my satellite I just pushed the wire on with the terminal. No splicing needed. But I agree with previous posters. You might have polarity switched, or you may not have the key on.

And if it's not the fuse, then you got me.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe you pulled the plug loose in the fairing...they don't typically just pull apart, but its possible. Does anything else not work, maybe the ground is bad and moving it around caused it to show...when you checked the hot side, did you check across the wires or to a good frame ground?

The plug on the back of the lighter? If so i checked before i put it back together. I also checked to a good frame ground, read .01 volts. Everything else works

Is there another plug somewhere in the fairing?
