Maybe it's because they were researching a potential brake light recall and were preoccupied? Sorry, couldn't help myself.

My 124" build will have ported 110 heads on it. They are cheap, already have bigger valves than stock heads and cheap to port as well. Good bang for your buck.

Ah wfolarry, yeah he seems to get the 110 heads to flow pretty well for a minimal amount of money, pretty good deal if you can get the 110's reasonably. And mine haven't had one structural problem, only cooked valve seals. Due to a bad tune

It doesnt hurt that he is only 45 min from my house either. Seems like I am at his shop about once a month lately.

I started with a set off ebay. I picked them up brand new never been on a bike. 200.00 I then had a friend that races a chevy and does all his own work port them for me. he charged me a 100.00
Had a local machine shop set them with bronze guides, springs and a valve job. I think they charged me 550.00 and that included the 103 over bore. Not bad the pistons cost me 225.00 a cheap big bore.

These heads are a good deal. you have to get them for less than 250.00 and be willing to fix the guide issues.

most of the 110 heads on ebay are recalls involving the slipped valve guide problem. dealers play dumb dumb and just list them as low mile take offs. they already got paid by harley to replace them and they were sent corrected replacement heads. but they just can't help themselves and they throw all the stuff that should go into the recylcle bin up on ebay.

dave mackie does work for me and he had had a good number of cracked 110 heads they crack around the valve guide and he says they aren't worth fixing or can't be fixed. He is a real good head guy, I take his word as gospel on stuff like that

I will say that Dave has forgotten more than most of the so called head gurus will ever know. 110's that are the SE versions, not the oem CVO 110's, would be the ones to have.
