Default Cam question

Have a 2006 Ultra Glide and I just bought a set of Andrews tw26's and bearings. Now instead of just throwing them in I have been looking at the Screamin eagle cam plates [which is more an up grade for the chain adjusters] and the Feuling cam plate. Bought kits I can get the oil pump with the kit. So my question is what benefits will I get over the Feuling vs the Screamin eagle. The Feuling is a little more bucks but I think the oil pump flows more.

I have heard and read really good things about the Fueling cam plate and pump. If I had the $ last Winter, I would have done this with my cam upgrade. My indy said the stock cam plate and oil pump looked good and had little wear. He added a baisley spring to the pump for better oil flow. If you can do it, go with the Fueling...I bet you will not be disappointed.

No need to spend extra for the Fueling plate.

You have two OEM options but since you have already purchased cams you are limited to the SE Hybrid Cam Plate kit, PN 25284-08. The other option would be a change over to the '07 and up OEM cam plate kit but that would require "conversion" cams.

The hybrid kit includes the upgraded oil pump, hydraulic tensioners, front roller chain; the rear chain remains as the "silent" Morse chain. The billet plate is a nice piece of hardware and cool as well. You would not need the Baisley spring with the upgraded oil pump; a waste of money. With the SE plate/pump, you should see oil pressure about 8-12psi at idle and 30-34psi at cruise

Sorry I can't answer your question on wether the Fueling is better or not, or worth the bucks. But I can tell you I did the HD-SE hydraulic tensioner conversion and the Andrew's TW 21 cams and I a super happy with the results. The 26's were my second choice and since I don't really race, and have not intension on going to a 95" I went with the 21's.

Pull much harder over the entire powerband on my stage 1 88". Couldn't be happier with the results.

Im running andrews 26s and fueling cam plate.Only thing i notice is good pressure at idle even when its hot.mine is a 08 with a 103" motor. The 26s pull smooth all the way up but the 50s i took out really screamed, just didnt like the hot red lite to red lite.
