Default Rider Backrest mount?

I bought an 06 Electra glide classic seat with a rider backrest for my 02 road glide. Love the seat but I cannot figure out what bracket I need to mount the backrest to the fender since it did not come with one (ebay purchase). The backrest does not have the typical two rods with the spring in the middle as I have seen on most. This backrest just has a piece of flat steel with a bend in it and two holes, I cannot seem to find a mount that accepts this type of bracket. Can anyone help me figure out what type of backrest this is or where I can find the fender mount for it?

The backrest does not sound like a HD backrest to me. It may be that you need a certain seat to make it work. I am sure if you posted a picture of it someone could identify it.

Sounds like a backrest for a Mustang seat or the like. Most likely aftermarket, not HD.

I know that the touring mustang vintage has a flat steel mount as well. In fact I have that set up for sale. 08-11 PM me if you are interested.

That sounds like the H-D adjustable backrest. Does the back rest have a **** that allows it to slide up and down on the steel bar a few inches. Also has a notch on the side of the bar to index in the bracket lock.

IT has the **** for up and down adjustability but no notch in the side. I am pretty sure it is an old discontinued model they no longer sell. I may have to either hack something up to make it work or just suck it up and buy a new one since this one may not be worth messing with, hard to let $275 go on a rider rest.
