Default 96" andrews 48h dyno results!

2011 FLTRX, 96" Rinehart Extreme duals with 4" mufflers, ac, SERT, Andrews 48h cams. Made 86.34 hp & 95.64 tq. SAE smoothing & 4th gear runs.
Bike make 16 hp & 17 tq with just the cams! It was run on a different dyno last time, but the cams were the only upgrade.
I'm happy

Grab some throttle in any gear and it pulls great!!! These cams work REAL GOOD with a 96" in a heavy bike.

Amazing how the CORRECT cam choice can change how a motor performs.

I just went the same route with similar but different cams Michigan. I got the 204's installed and like you, can't believe the difference and it is now an effortless bike to ride. Not quite sure why some tuners do dyno runs on different gears than others. Mine was done in sixth, how would that be different from your fourth gear run?

I believe that 6th gear runs give inflated numbers. I could have that wrong as I'm not positive on what I've read about it, but I thought that 5th was the "standard".

5th and 6th gears would give you higher(more inflated) results. There's less parasitic loss in 6th gear than 4th, so the dyno results using 6th gear ,for a dyno run, would show more torque(HP) on paper.

The standard is a 1:1 ratio which would be 6th. The numbers will be higher than a fourth and 5th gear run. Some people don't like to use 6th because of the speed. Some bikes will labour in 6th so you would then use 5th. Nice results for the 48.

I don't think I'd call 6th gear pulls "inflated", they're just a more accurate measure of what your motor is putting out, as the tranny is at 1:1(direct drive) ratio. Just needs to be kept in perspective, when comparing to other bikes, that perhaps don't have the same transmission ratio.
