Vibration at high speeds
On my Street Glide i've noticed some increased vibration throughout the bike when i get up over 80 mph. I'm running dyna beads in the tires for balance. It's smooth up until about 75 then i start to feel the vibration - mostly through the bars. It's not terrible - not enough to blurr the mirrors.
I contacted the folks that make the beads. They said if it was a tire issue that it would feel unbalanced even at slower speeds. They said i need to check for other loose or improperly adjusted things on the bike.
At this point, I've checked for loose hardware, motor mounts, even checked and adjusted neck bearings. Bike has about 9k miles on it now. I'm beginning to suspect the tires now. I still have the factory Dunflops on it. Anyone else has ran into this problem?

Here's a test.... run up to the speed where you just start to feel the vibration .... look at your tach....... slow down ...... downshift 1 gear. Slowly accelerate and see if the vibration hits at the same RPM at a lower speed. That will narrow down where to look. If it's RPM related look at the motor and mounts.... if not then look at drivetrain, frame and wheels.
