Default Fuel Moto Twin Cam 88 Cam Big Bore Testing

Due to the overwhelming response for the cam packages and big bore kits we offer for late model 96" and 103" motors and from customer requests Fuel Moto as been working on some cam and big bore options for 1999-2006 Twin Cam 88" motors. We will be introducing some great options for cam upgrades, cam plate/hydraulic conversions from Bob Wood, and a new Fuel Moto 98" big bore kit. The 88" motors run great, they are easy to tune, and they respond very well to modifications. We have been testing some stuff over the last month and I will post results and info in this thread. Bob Wood offered to grind us some cams that turned out extremely well in the 88" motor, I will post info from the 98" testing, some cylinder head testing, and we are also working on a Jackpot head pipe for pre-09 models. More to come...

Default 88" cams and Head pipe

Jamie --

This is great news. I'm in the planning phase of doing some upgrades in the winter to my 88" -- maybe as simple as a cam to get some more sound and seat to the pants (torque). I've also loved your current head pipe and was hoping you would eventually make one to fit my 04.

It's been tough not to upgrade but I've got it pretty much where I want it except for some performance upgrades and it's paid off.

I can't wait to hear more. Keep the news coming.

Here is the baseline test we did. The bike we used for testing is a 2005 Touring with 8000 miles, it had a set of SE slip on's, a Stage 1 air cleaner, and a Stage 1 download.

Here is the second test we did. We replaced the mufflers with Jackpot Dyno Tuned mufflers and added a Power Commander with our map. This was good for 5Hp/6Tq

Here is a comparison between the bike as delivered with the SE Mufflers and Stage 1 download and then with the Jackpot mufflers and Power Commander

Jamie....You guys going to do before and after on an 88 with slip-ons/stage one intake and the Bob Wood TW6-6 cam upgrade?

I'm about to purchase the cam plate upgrade and the TW6-6 cams for my TC88 Road King.

Would love to see that....!!!!

We have been testing 88" components over the last several weeks. We have already tested the TW6-6, along with a new cam Bob ground for us which is the TW555-6R. We have now built the motor with our 98" big bore kit with stock heads and I am here tonight doing the dyno tune, I will post a bunch more info tomorrow

It's looking like I might be taking another late fall trip to Little Chute. Let's see some charts with the 98".
