Default First ride after Andrews 21 install

Oh yeah! That's what I'm talkin about! not overwhelming, just a very usefull powerband right off idle. No flat spots, pulls hard from 1400 RPM to as far as I need to go. Riding 2 up in the NW AR hills left me short on power, but not now. Can roll on going up a 30 degree slope and she just pulls away. Before it would make lots of noise with very little increase in MPH. Now it's a stump puller! Lovin' it!

One of the best bolt-in cams for touring bikes with a stock motor.

Know what you mean! Had some 21's in an 88 and loved how they pulled.

Have fun!

Felt exactly the same after I installed mine.

Well, thanks for the input I am considering the 21 and 26 and am leaning towards the 21 but it looks alot like the stock cam. Can any of you cam guys explain the difference. I am also looking at having the heads ported and putting back on with a .30 head gasket (might be missing a zero there) for a little more compression. Don't know if the port will make much difference on an 06 head......

Absolutely love my Andrews TW21's!!!

Pisses my friend off totally with his highly tuned stage one 96" SG that I can keep up with him no problem until we hit about 60 mph.

Put mine in this spring and headed out to the Rockies and it pulled like a locomotive all day long!

Intake close is at 34 degrees (stock) so the 21 (intake close at 30 degrees) will come on earlier which would probably work better for me. I have an 06 street glide and usually ride two up. Ther is alot more science and magic involved with duration etc... But that is my very basic understanding.

Did the hydraulic cam chain tensioner conversion on my 2005 Road King Custom, and installed the Andrew 21N's at the same time. Completely happy in every regard.

21's and 26"s are very similar. 21's kick in about 1400 RPM while 26's kick in around 2000 RPM. I believe the 26 is better for a lighter bike, or if you like to ride in the upper RPM range. I do a lot of 2 up riding on backroads, running 45 to 50 MPH or 2000 RPM. For a heavy stock 88" bagger, 21's are the ticket.
