Default Extended Warranty

Well my 09 Street Glide is out of warranty and has the Extended Warranty covered by CNA out of Scottsdale AZ.
My Stereo stopped working so I was at the dealer, he called the insurance and they covered the replacement of the Stereo less the $50 deductible.
I am pleased with the end result.
I asked the service adviser how the insurance works. He said he simply calls the insurance company and they either say yes or know, simple as that nothing between.
Now I must say I am happy with the care and service I received from the dealer and the insurance company. On the other hand it did take MoCo over 1 month to get me a new re-manufactured stereo.

I decided to get the extended warranty. I figured $28 bucks a month for 5 years ain't a bad deal. Hope I don't need it, but ya never know.. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it, I guess.

I log a ton of miles, so by the end of the 7 yrs my bike will have nearly 200,000 miles on it. I'm bound to need at least something done to it (a top end maybe?) in that much riding, so the warranty will easily pay for itself in my case...

My factory warranty runs out in Dec, and I plan to modify my engine this spring, so there's no need for me to do the extended warranty, wouldn't cover much.

I wouldn't ride a Harley with out the factory ext waranty,> for what repairs may cost I enjoy the 5 yr peace of mind, and it is refundable if you trade bike in and a good selling point if you sell your bike outright.

Just bought a 2012 FLHTK with a seven year extended warranty, tires and wheels also.
To quote Checkers " Peace of mind, and it is refundable if you trade your bike in and a good selling point if you sell your bike outright."
