Another for Batteries Plus - same manufacturer as H-D OEM, 1/2 the price and 2 times the warranty of an H-D branded replacement

This is the same exact OEM battery (Deka ETX30L) without the Harley logo for $109 shipped to your door. It comes with a 1 Year Free Replacement Warranty. I think Harley prorates after 90 days, but I am not sure.

After a lot of research and consideration, I went with the Odyssey (Hawker) for my 05 Ultra Classic. It's been a year with no problems. Battery Mart has good prices on many brands of replacement batteries.

East Penn and Deka are one in the same. Even the manufacturer has two different names for the same battery. Then they slap a HD sticker on it for the dealers.

As per EastPenn-Deka Online Parts Catalog

This same battery: ETX30L is noted that it does not meat Harley Davidson OEM specifications.

How ever two others listed do not have that note.

The difference is Harley requires 30 amp hour rate for OEM specification. EXT30L puts out a 26 hour rate. How big of a difference is it really?

Just bought a Yuasa battery for my SG 2009 on Ebay for $87.99 free shipping. Same specs as OEM, 30 amp, 385 cold crank amps. Let you know how it works. Good luck! BTW batterygeek.com. yix30l.

All depends, how much reserve capability the battery has is dependent upon its charge, how many times its been cycled, how much more load your putting on it. The list goes on.

After all the money you pay for one of these bikes, then all the mod's to it. Do you really want to leave it someplace with a dead battery? Or better yet have it leave you someplace with a dead battery?

I spent the money on a H-D 30amp OEM battery.
