V&H Twin Slash Slip-On Muffler Quiet Baffles?
#31
Hi! I need quiet baffle to my HD Electra glide 2001 FLHTCUI and V&H D610 4" Slash Slip Ons. Can you advise something?
I find "Smartpartz Hard Kore Quiet Baffles for Vance & Hines 4" Monster Rounds" but smartpartz support told me that: "The outside diameter of our baffle is 2.375" (2 7/8"'s) and is designed to slip into the tube part of your baffle which should have the same measurement. Please check your measurement before ordering."
But, my muffler has outside diameter 4" and inside is 57mm - 2,24" (!). How can I install quiet baffle inside? Thank you!

I'm not 100% sure of your issue but,
The Hard Kore Quiet baffle can be installed into the stock baffle.
The inside of the stock baffle needs to be at or near the same size as the outside measurement of the Hard Kore.
The screw goes through the quiet baffle, the stock baffle and the exhaust pipe.
One additional note, don't confuse any of the parts mentioned with the Chrome Heat Shield. That will have nothing to do with
the installation of the baffles.

Quiet baffels for Vance Hines 4"rounds
I did allot of research before buying these baffels, the V-Hines 4"rounds with decated stock head pipe sound great but are hard on your ears while riding 70-75mph for any distance. I put the stock mufflers back on and it was too quiet, then installed these baffels and it's just right, can still hear the stereo at highway speeds. These baffels take the sharp crack out of the exhaust that almost Pierce's your ears on the highway. And give it a deeper tone . Upon removal of the baffels I found there is no fiberglass wrap in these mufflers, and be ready to do a little cutting or grinding on the inner stampings of the baffels as the hole to mount the baffels are to close to the last row of the stamping in the baffels (the quiet baffels bottom out on the ridges of the.. I.D of the main baffel. Not terrible to do, just a PIA. I actually think the baffels gave it a little more torque also. 2012 Tri-Glide, stage 1 air cleaner, Vance Hines 4" twin slash rounds, decated head pipe, Vance Hines LCD tuner, external crankcase breather.

Greetings all. Newbie here. I have a 2004 FLHRCI with the 4" twin slash rounds and just ordered the V&H Quiet Baffles for it. Most discussing installation say they needed to use a slide hammer to pull the original baffles. My question is, where do you attach the hammer to avoid damage? Sorry if this sounds simple, but this is all new ground for me. Thanks for any help!
