Agitator wheels
#11
So if i go with the AGitator wheels it's actullay gonna raise the rear of my bike? I was always a little hesitant on the 18" rear wheel cuz i thought they made the rear LOOK higher, i never knew they actually DID make the bike higher......
GOD D*M IT !
i've been thinking about wheels for like aee year, and was about 99% set on the 19/18 AGitators...now i'm back to scratching my head
what i would LOVE would be a 19/17 set up with a 200 rear, but that is only available aftermarket and from what i can tell it quite a bit more $$$

Scumbagger-
I have your same bike, color and all. I also have the mirror chrome agitators. The reason I bought them is that I DID NOT want the 21' up front, but wanted something slightly bigger than the stock set up. In other words, I just wanted a little less tire sidewall from an appearance standpoint. I know folks love 21"s, but I didn't want a wheel with a black rubber band around it... This why there are different flavors of ice cream...

Here's my front 19" all chrome Agitator:
Here's a shot showing how much of the rear 18" Agitator you can see:
-You have to buy new Agitator rotors for the front. OEM rotors don't have the correct bolt pattern for these wheels. You can also spring for some EBC or Lyndall rotors. Pricey but top of the line.
-Bike is up probably 1/2 inch over stock. New Dunlop tires feel great, ride smooth, and seem to handle road irregularities well. They also ride good in the rain.
-You will use your stock rotor on the rear Agitator. Always use new rotor bolts on the rear when installing the rotor on the wheel.
-I think I would go ahead and get new pads all around. I use Lyndall Gold+, but OEM should be fine.
-Contrast or Chrome...a personal choice. Early reports of the contrast peeling but I think that has been corrected in todays runs of these wheels.
-Of course you will get a new wheel bearing kit with both wheels.
-I installed mine myself, so I had the opportunity to weigh the Agitators versus the stock Knuckle wheels I had. The rear wheels weigh essentially the same. However, the front Agitator is 5 lbs lighter than the front Knuckle. That is the weight difference of the two wheels, ready-to-install. You wouldn't think that 5 lbs would make much difference, but the front end is so much easier to turn now during slow speed maneuvers. I attribute some of that to the new front tire as well.
