Well, if I ever wear this one out.LOL 15,000 miles so far and no sign of visible wear. 14,500 out of stock tire and maybe 30,000 out of CT.

I don't know for sure. Right now I have a Dunlop SP5000 195/60/16, it has about 3/4" to spare on each side, so another inch should work. There are others that are currently using a 205 and say they have about 1/4" to spare, and that is all you need, a couple of those said they were using the triple tread. I plan to try on my next tire. I have just under 25k so far and still a lot of tread left so it will be a while until I find out but I will post when I do find out for sure.

Thanks for the info, will keep an eye out for the update. I realy like the tread design on the triple tread, looks like it would be good in wet or dry conditions.

I have them on my car and so far they are the best tire I have used.

I know this question is not directed at me, but I have the American Elite on the front and it slips on the tar snakes a lot. I will probably try the ME880 next.

Thats a good ?. I also have one from JW ready to install on the front.

On a side note, I realy like those led 39 Ford tail lights in your saddle bags. I have the led 39"s mounted in my TP for running and brake, man are they bright. They're from Tech Nostalgia, I'm a vendor.

I have gotten many compliments saying how much they were visible. I looked everywhere for the teardrop look before i found these on Ebay. Wish i had know of your selling something like them. I M O the tiny little lights look "cool" but i want to be seen when running turning braking. With the LED's i am . Thanks for the compliment.

I put Elite 3s on my 04 Road King and really like them. I guess the American Elite is the same tire for the newer bikes? If you aren't interested in them, I can't really help you other than to say the Elite 3s were a major improvement over the OEM Dunlops.

Not fur sure, but I think the AE is a dual compound tire like the OEM tire. The E3's are single compound and work great, have had several sets and very pleased with wear and handleing.

I keep hoping Pirelli will make the Night Dragons in the right size for the 09 and up bikes. I'm sure they will at some point. My cousin has them on his 07 and loves them.

I just replaced the rear Dunlop American Elite on my 09 Road King. It gave me 18,547 miles of great service. No complaints at all. I'm not a performance rider however, so cant comment on knee-dragging type traction, but for normal cruising I've been very pleased with the American Elite. The front AE has a ways to go, so cant give you figures on that one.

My first two OEM Dunlop rears gave me 20k and 19,500 respectively, so outstanding mileage. No complaints on those tires either other than the obscene price. The AE is about $100 cheaper around here.
