Default NEED: Rear Tire Replacement Suggestion ('09 FLHX)

The stock tire on my 2009 FLHX Street Glide is measured as:

Dunlop D407 Multi-Tread 180/65-16 (180/65B16 81H)

I'm looking for replacement suggestions and want options other than the Dunlop OEM tire. Also not really interested in the Dunlop American Elite.

Any opinions on Metzeler ME880 Marathon?

Any other tire recommendations?

Thanks.

My research can find what you have found, stock,hd, ME 880, Dunlop American Elite and an Avon, don't remember which model. If there are others, google keeps it a secret.

CT 205/60R16

The Goodyear Assurance radial featuring TripleTred Technology is a premium Passenger All-Season tire designed to take on Mother Nature to give the drivers of family coupes, sedans and minivans peace of mind for any driving condition. It was developed to be versatile by combining long wear with traction in any weather condition, including light snow.
On the outside, the Assurance TripleTred radials have a directional tread design with a dry road zone featuring stable shoulder blocks to provide confident maneuvering on dry roads, an intermediate water zone with carved Aquachutes to direct water away from under the tire tread to maintain more contact with the road in the rain, and a central snow and ice zone featuring a heavily siped interlocking rib to enhance traction in light snow and on ice. On the inside, the Assurance TripleTred radial's polyester cord body and twin steel belts help deliver a smooth ride along with strength and durability.
Assurance TripleTred radials feature Goodyear's PermaBlack compound additive that maintains new-tire appearance throughout the life of the tire.

Hey JJ, have you tried this size? I have the Dunlop Terranza 195 on my 10 now. Didn't know the 205 would fit without some minner mods? If it will fit, that will be my next tire fur sure. Well, if I ever wear this one out.LOL 15,000 miles so far and no sign of visible wear. 14,500 out of stock tire and maybe 30,000 out of CT.

Wanna try a car tire? Here is one for sale ...... cheap. Guy owns an EG and took it off after 1,000 miles. You can find him on the Delphi Darksiders Forum.

I have a Goodyear Triple tread 205/60-16. I just bought and tried on my Harley.Great tire, just doesn't work on the type of back roads I ride on mostly. This tire is great on Interstate and better 2 and 4 lane rds. Will take $50 plus shipping.
