i've got a fork baffle and the biggest improvement i've noticed and didn't see while skimming this thread is it stops those annoying drops of water from flying up from under the tank and hitting you in the face/eyes when riding in the rain.

Can you give me a part number or a description. I'm not sure that I've heard of anything like that.

Default fork baffle

I think it works fine...no issues for me.

I bought one and the fork lowers at the same time. I've since taken the baffle off. The fork lowers reduced the buffeting as much as the baffle did, and with the combination my engine was really getting hot. So I pulled it off to test and since the buffeting didn't increase, I've left it off. If I didn't have the fork lowers, I'd probably still be using it.

Put on a fork baffle that I bought used for $10.00 and also have the chrome fork deflectors. No buffeting or heat problems here in South Florida on my 06 RKC.

The baffle was tested by a bunch of dealers at their annual meeting and it was determined that it made the TC run hotter (Cly head temps). It was really made for the Evo, that's why it states in the parts description, to replace the Ori black baffle on '00-earlier models! It removes the cold air from the upper portion of the engine.
Just my "old dealer" (since '76) talking while back.....!

Just thinking about it...How can it not run a little cooler?...When the bike is moving and the wind between the forks is pushed downward by the design of the baffle..putting air in front of the engine...Just my observation.
